Flagging an Incident for Peer Support

How patrols let Peer Support know that members involved in an incident may need follow-up.

After a difficult incident, the members involved may benefit from a check-in. Flagging the incident lets the Peer Support team know to follow up.

1. Open your incidents

In the Patrols interface, select Incidents in your unit's menu and find the incident's card. See Viewing Your Unit's Incidents.

2. Flag it

Tick Requires Peer Support on the card. A confirmation asks whether you're sure. Tap Yes, Confirm, or Cancel if you ticked it by mistake.

Once confirmed, the flag can't be removed from the Patrols interface. If you flagged the wrong incident, contact Surfcom.

If you see incident tags instead

Some organisations use incident tags instead of a tick box. In that case, open Select incident tags... on the card and choose the peer support tag. If the tag asks a question, type your Answer and tap Save.

What happens next

The Peer Support team follows up and records their contact on the incident. You won't see their notes in the Patrols interface, because peer support records are kept confidential. If a member needs support urgently, don't wait for the flag. Contact Surfcom or your club's peer support contact directly.
