Getting Your Access Granted

Why being able to sign in isn't enough on its own, and who needs to grant you access to your club or unit.

Being able to sign in with your SLSA Member account doesn't automatically give you access to a club or unit's patrol data — someone with admin rights for your organisation needs to grant it.

Who grants access

Your club captain, club administrator, or another existing Club Admin for your organisation grants LIMSOC access, from the Member Access tab on the Patrols interface. If you're not sure who that is at your club, ask your club committee or duty officer.

For the admin side of this — how access is granted and what the LIMSOC/Club Admin toggles mean — see Managing Club Member Access.

Some clubs are set up to grant access automatically

A small number of clubs have automatic access enabled, so an active, current-season member is granted basic LIMSOC access as soon as they sign in for the first time, without waiting on a manual grant. Most clubs don't have this switched on, so don't assume it applies to you. If you can sign in but don't see your club, you'll need a manual grant from your club admin.

What to do if you're signed in but see nothing

This is expected the first time you use LIMSOC. Contact your club captain or club administrator and ask them to grant you access via Member Access. Once granted, sign out and back in (or refresh) to pick up the new access.
