Your beach status is shared live with your Comms centre and Beachsafe, so keep it current whenever conditions change.
Update your status
From your patrol's activity screen, select Current Beach Status.
Choose Open or Beach Closure. Choosing Beach Closure reveals a list of reasons — pick whichever applies: Air Quality, Algae, COVID-19 Pandemic, Crocodiles, Dangerous Surf, Event, Incident, Machinery / Beach Work, Maintenance, Marine Stingers, Nets Removed, Pollution, Sharks or Storms.
Click Submit.
Automatic status changes
Some other actions on your patrol update beach status for you — for example, starting a stinger drag sets it to Conducting Stinger Drag until you finish, and a completed drag's calculated risk level suggests Open or Closed for you to confirm. You can always override the status manually from this screen.
